Casa Lever

Handwerk had the opportunity to design the exterior bar and dining area of the iconic Casa Lever restaurant, in New York City’s historic Lever House building.

The cherrywood barwith aluminum trim references the Mid-Century lines of SOM’s famous skyscraper that houses the bar.Deepbanquette seating, tall plantersfor privacy,and generous umbrellas allude to an Italian seaside hotel, and offer an escape from the hectic Midtown atmosphere despite being nestled firmly within it.
